MANHOLE INSPECTIONS

 A manhole inspection involves assessing the interior and exterior of a manhole for various defects and issues, including debris, structural damage, infiltration, and safety hazards. Inspections can be visual, utilize camera equipment, or involve a combination of both. The goal is to identify potential problems that could lead to infrastructure failures or safety risks.  

Sewer Stormers provides two levels of the manhole assessment program:

• Level 1: This involves a visual inspection of the manhole interior, looking for major defects and debris. There are usually no photos taken and a basic report provided for each node and its condition, unless a major defect is found. Photos may be requested at no additional charge. 
• Level 2:  This uses camera equipment to capture digital data, including images and videos of the interior along with a more in-depth inspection report. Report includes structure measurements, any and all defects found (cracks, fractures, surface damage, etc.), and GPS coordinates.
